This place suits me perfectly! They offer free parking, a picnic area, and allow pets, which my dog loves. Staff helped with tech issues on my first visit. Highly recommend it for a cozy getaway. I'm coming back for Christmas!

Affordable hotel in a very relaxing area close to northwest California and restaurants and markets and the center of town. Well-kept and brand-new room with a rollaway bed and a stunning view, as for instance for a pleasant overnight stay in town for a visit. Exceptionally nice and perfect location, minutes from Gualala Bluff Trail.
Pretty small room.

the breakfast was enjoyable with several hot items, different food. the location was great and stunning, to a beautiful almost deserted beach, in the fairly nice area.

beachside trail, ocean view, cozy layout
The smart TV setup was confusing, and it took ages to get it working!!! Grab bars in the shower would be useful, and a quieter bathroom fan would.

Everything was fine, greatly enjoyed the ocean view from my double room. A little refrigerator, a coffeemaker, and a kitchenette area worked well. Had exceptionally nice and absolutely perfect location on the coast line.

The view from our room was the best and made the stay very enjoyable. The location to stores and gas stations was also very convenient. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was good. We had a great time in Gualala and will be back.
The bed was hard to get into

Why I'm torn on this
The view was fine, and the cozy seating areas offered a perfect spot to enjoy sunsets! Friendly staff ensured every detail was attended to with care.
The manager's treatment felt a bit off-putting, especially for families. It made enjoying communal spaces uncomfortable!

Everything was simply fantastic. It was a cute little hotel in a truly beautiful area, just off the river and ocean and local sights and an organic market.

Motorcycle friendly, excellent breakfasts, everything you need to make yourself comfortable, I.E. Surf market -- stocks great wine & snacks, video store, great eats like Bones. And of course, you can't beat the location & view. I like that there are outdoor view "relax spots". The young lady manning the office was welcoming, knowledgeable, and especially helpful.
The queen room was small as motel rooms go ( but the 2 queen kitchen room is huge as motel rooms go, so they vary) but I chose that room & it was a nice room.

100% recommend for a rapid stop
Comfortable room, convenient location, with a kitchenette that exceeded my expectations as we were able to prepare a quick meal before heading out to explore nearby beaches and trails.
No problems at all.

This nice and incredibly friendly and charming motel was the best place to stay in our whole 17-days-US-trip. No matter where you look, the beds are amazingly comfortable, the staff is friendly and really non-complicated regarding check-in and check-out, the breakfast is exceptionally delicious and the scenery visible from the Motel is great - such as the whole kalifornian Hwy 1.

easy access to beaches and charming local cafes
Staying here was good, especially with the convenience of being just a few steps from the beach and a short walk to Trinks Cafe for a delicious breakfast. It made my weekend so enjoyable and hassle-free.

The lone staff person was overwhelmed with people wanting to eat (the food and coffee were completely out) and trying to take a steady stream of phone calls coming in. The owners need to hire at least one other person to be available during the busy morning breakfast/ phone call/check out hours. We felt really bad for the staff person and we went to another town for breakfast even though it had been included in our room charge.

The location; walk out to the bluff on site to overlook the beach, the Gualala river and sit back to take it all in. The breakfast is better than average (they even have a coffeemaker in the room !)
Rooms are on the small side and don't have ocean view.
